Software & SaaS overview / MVP development

Give your first release a clear purpose.

An MVP is useful when it helps you test a specific assumption with real users. Instead of beginning with every feature you can imagine, start with the problem, the audience and the next decision you need to make. We’ll help shape a focused product brief and a proposed build around that purpose.

Discuss my product

Choose what needs to be real first.

The problem and the learning goal

Describe the user, the current workaround and the behavior you want to understand. We can help distinguish a must-have workflow from an attractive extra. Decide what evidence would make the next product decision clearer before deciding what to ship.

A prototype or a working application

Not every idea needs a production application immediately. A clickable prototype may answer an interaction question; a working MVP may be needed to test a complete service. Discuss the decision you need to make, then choose the appropriate level of implementation.

A deliberately limited first release

Scope the main user journey, necessary administration and essential integrations together. Record what is deferred, what remains manual and which assumptions still need testing. A narrow release should have an explicit boundary, not a long feature list described as minimal.

Feedback and the next decision

Discuss how you will invite users, gather feedback and review what happens after release. Measurement, interviews and product changes can be included where agreed. User acquisition and a successful business outcome are separate responsibilities, not automatic results of development.

Turn an idea into a brief you can review.

Possible deliverables include a prioritized feature brief, user journeys, a prototype, a working first release and an agreed acceptance checklist. The proposal should identify deferred features, third-party costs, release responsibilities and source handover. Where you already have research or design work, share it so the engagement can start from what exists instead of repeating it.

Make the important decisions in order.

Frame the assumption

Name the customer, the problem and the question the first release needs to answer. Discuss the evidence already available and what is still uncertain.

Reduce and test the scope

Review the main journey in a prototype or specification. Resolve the parts that affect usability and feasibility before committing to optional features.

Build for an agreed pilot

Develop the agreed release, review it against acceptance criteria and plan the pilot. Decide how feedback will inform the next scope and who owns that follow-up.

Before we begin.

Is an MVP the same as a prototype?

A prototype demonstrates an experience and may not include a working backend. An MVP is a usable first version with a deliberately limited scope. The right choice depends on whether you need to test the interaction, technical feasibility or an end-to-end service.

Can I start without a technical cofounder?

You can start the conversation with a clear problem and an intended audience. We’ll discuss the product decisions and technical dependencies with you. Ownership, access, source delivery and the support you will need should be specified in the agreement.

Can you promise a launch date or fixed price now?

A useful estimate needs a reviewed scope, dependencies and acceptance criteria. Share your preferred date and budget range, and we can discuss trade-offs. A deadline should be agreed after the work and required client inputs are understood.

What happens after the first release?

That depends on what users reveal and what you decide to build next. Further development, maintenance and support should have a separate agreed scope. The first engagement does not assume an open-ended feature backlog or a guaranteed product-market fit.
